Duncan Dynamics Gymnastics Camps!

Throughout the year, Duncan Dynamics offers gymnastics camps that promotes fun, fitness and fundamentals.

These camps incorporate gymnastics activities, games, arts and crafts, as well as outdoor activities and movie time, and are the perfect way for any child to spend their holiday or day-off from school.

Gymnastics camps are introductory, cater to a wider range of ages than classes, and can often fill up creating large groups. Camp games meet gymnastics in these jam packed offerings, but we also make sure that breaks and rest time is scheduled in so that gymnasts don't overdue it!

Registration for camps starts early and can fill up fast. We let everyone know when they become available through our Monthly newsletter and Weekly Updates. Age ranges can vary from camp to camp and season to season and you can click directly on a camp during registration for more information.

DDGC will offer camps during:

Professional Development Days

Aligned with the Cowichan Valley's District 79, when classes are out for Pro D Day, camp is in session! These camps are usually in high demand because we only offer a single, full-day camp which means that spaces are more limited than week-long camps during the spring, summer or winter.

Spring Break Camps

A variety of camps are offered that run for one week each during Spring Break! Half day morning and afternoon camps along with Full day and Active Start Camps are typically offered during this time.

Summer Break Camps

Camps run all throughout the summer for a week each! Half-day camps in the morning and afternoon, full day camps and an Active Start camp in the mornings are always in demand! Every week, the camp themes change so that your gymnast won't get bored as our activities and games change to match the theme each week!

Winter Break Camps

During winter break, DDGC also offers camps for gymnasts who want even more time in the gym, those looking for an introduction to gymnastics, or if they simply love the camps! Just like with Spring break, this short break will include 1-2 weeks of camps of half day, full day, and active start camps.

FAQs

What is the difference between these camps?

Active Start camps run for 2 hours each day and are for young gymnasts between 3-4 years old.

Half-Day camps run for 3 hours each day and are for gymnasts between 5- 12 years old. Often times, there will be a half-day camp running in both the mornings and the afternoons.

Full-day camps are for gymnasts between 6-13 years old and run long enough that gymnasts get lunch time and snack times in between games and activities.

How much does each camp cost and when do they run each day?

When camps are available for registration, you can click on one through our registration calendar for more information such as the time a camp starts and ends, the first and last day of camp, the cost, and other registration or fee-related information. We try to keep camp times consistent from season to season, however, this can change depending on coach and club availability, or depending on extenuating circumstances, so it's best to check the program descriptions for the details related to that specific event to avoid confusion.

Can we show up for a camp and pay in the office?

All programs, including camps, must be registered for through your account. If you would prefer to pay in the office using our debit terminal, or by cash, you can select E-transfer when registering through your account so that you are still registered without requiring a credit card. If you need assistance with registering, you are welcome to stop by the office, give us a call, or send us an email so that we can help!

My child is 12 years old and not new to gymnastics, would they qualify for joining a camp?

The one thing to keep in mind is that these camps are introductory and must account for the abilities of the youngest age ranges for safety purposes. We have seen athletes who are skilled in gymnastics and love joining the camps for the games and crafts, whereas others may get bored because it is not a program for "training", but play. This will depend on your child and what they are looking for.
